Mack: 2024 budget could include funding for Public Information Officer at City Hall (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–When the Watertown City Council gives final approval to the 2024 city budget in the next few weeks, there could be money in it for a new position being recommended by City Manager Amanda Mack.
That position would be a public information officer for Watertown.
Mack explains….
The public information officer–or P.I.O.–would ensure there’s a consistent message coming out of Watertown City Hall on various issues….
The position still needs to be approved as part of the 2024 city budget.
If that happens, the position will be advertised and filled around the first of the year.
