Lower speed limit coming to stretch of Watertown’s North Lake Drive  (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D. – The Watertown City Council has approved a resolution to reduce the speed limit on a stretch of road on the west side of Lake Kameska.

Supporting the change was Councilman Glen Vilhauer…

Vilhauer says dropping the speed limit by five miles per hour won’t cost travelers much extra time….

Councilman Dan Schutte lived on North Lake Drive for thirteen years. He too, supports the lower speed limit….

The 35 mph limit was approved on a 5-2 vote. Councilman Colin Paulsen and Mayor Ried Holien were the “no” votes.
