Fishing Report
With the recent cold weather, the lakes are finally making some good ice. Please be cautious because the ice depths are inconsistent across most of the lakes.

Hunting Report:
Pheasant Season: Hunters should concentrate on cattail sloughs to find pheasants. With the recent snow and cold weather, the pheasants are holding better. Sand Lake Refuge pheasant season is open Dec 13, 2021 – Jan 31, 2022
Waterfowl Season: The snow goose season ends Jan 7, 2022.
Deer Season: Archery and Muzzleloader deer seasons close January 1, 2022. The Mentored, Youth, and Apprentice deer season also ends on January 1, 2022.

Clark County
Fishing Report
Dry 2: Slow for walleye and perch.
Indian Springs: A few walleye and slow for perch.
Dry 1: A few walleye being caught.
Reid: Slow for perch and walleye.
Swan: No activity.

Codington County
Fishing Report
Goose: Fishermen are catching a few walleye, perch, and northern pike.
Kampeska: Fishermen are catching a mix bag of fish, to include (perch, crappie, northern pike, and walleye).
Dry Lake: Fishermen are catching a few walleye, perch, and northern pike.

Hunting Report
Pheasant Season: Hunters continue to average around two birds a hunter.
Deer Season: Archery, Muzzleloader, Youth, Mentored, and Apprentice deer seasons all end on Jan. 1, 2022. If you still have a license for any of these seasons, your time is winding down.

Hamlin County
Fishing Report
Lake Poinsett: A few anglers out ice fishing. Anglers are starting to pick up a few Walleyes and Perch
Three Buck: A few Walleyes are being caught.
Lake Albert: Little to no fishing pressure.
Clear Lake: Little to no pressure, a few smaller Walleyes are being caught.
Hunting Report:
Waterfowl Season: The cold weather has pushed many of the birds out of the county. Few birds remain in the Three Buck area. Snow Goose season closes January 7th.
Deer Season: Deer activity has increased in the afternoons with the colder temperatures. Deer are beginning to group up in wintering areas. Youth, Mentored, Apprentice, Archery and Muzzleloader seasons end January 1st.
Pheasant Season: Hunting pressure on pheasants has remained steady. With some snow fall and colder temperatures, expect pheasants to start concentrating in thick cover areas.

Marshall County

Parks Report
Roy Lake: The suites at Roy Lake State Park are 25% off from now through March 31st.
Suites 12 – 15, include two bedrooms with two double beds in each bedroom, full kitchen, full bathroom, and a living area with two single sleeper sofas. They sleep up to 10 people and normally rent for $175 per night, plus tax. From now through March 31st, they rent for $131.25 per night plus tax.
Suite 16 includes one bedroom with two double beds, full kitchen, full bathroom, and a living area. It sleeps up to 4 people and normally rents for $120 per night, plus tax. From now through March 31st, it rents from $90 per night plus tax.
