Juveniles survive crash with semi in Hamlin County

HAYTI, S.D.–Five juveniles survived a terrible looking crash in Hamlin County Sunday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office says it happened at the intersection of 448th Avenue and 186th Street, northwest of Hayti.
The juveniles were in a car that was eastbound on 186th, and collided at the intersection with a semi that was northbound on 448th.
The car ended up underneath the semi’s trailer.
The juveniles were taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital by Lake Norden Ambulance to be checked out for minor injuries.
The semi driver was not injured.
