Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting planned for new business in Watertown’s Crossings Plaza

WATERTOWN, S.D.–New signage is up for what will be the newest tenant at Watertown’s Crossings Plaza at 700 9th Avenue Southeast.

Nyberg’s Ace Hardware will open their sixth South Dakota store in the former Shopko building this spring.

Brian Brandreit, who purchased the former Shopko building in early 2020, says Nyberg’s will lease about 23,500 square feet on the northwest side of the building.

The Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce has announced a grand opening ribbon-cutting at Nyberg’s Ace Hardware will take place at 4:30 p.m. on May 19th. 

Crossings Plaza also includes Studio 212, which is space for concerts, parties and wedding receptions, and Sioux Valley Co-Op Federal Credit Union.

Brandriet says the addition of Nyberg Ace Hardware means more than 80-percent of the entire square footage of the building is now occupied.
