For third straight day, U.S. gasoline prices reach all-time high

WATERTOWN, S.D.–For the third consecutive day, gasoline prices in the United States have reach an all-time high.
AAA Auto Club reports the nationwide average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $4.31 today.
Yesterday, the average was $4.25 a gallon. On Tuesday, it was $4.17 a gallon.
South Dakota’s statewide average is $3.94 a gallon, up seven cents in the past 24 hours.
A year ago, South Dakotans were paying $2.80 a gallon for gasoline.
The most expensive prices are on the west coast. California leads the way, with a statewide average of $5.69 a gallon.
AAA says the nationwide average for a gallon of diesel fuel is $5.05. That’s also the highest price ever recorded.
