Final co-defendant in Madison ATM theft sentenced

SIOUX FALLS – All four men charged with breaking into and stealing cash from an ATM machine at a bank in Madison, South Dakota have now been sentenced.

The final sentence among the four was recently handed down to 26 year-old Keivon Jones of Crockett, Texas. He was given 21 months in federal prison for Bank Larceny.

Three co-defendants, 32 year-old Kytorrion Young, 24 year-old Kendrick Kennedy and 25 year-old Alton Himes, were given sentences ranging from six months to 23 months in prison.

In the early morning hours of December 2n, 2021, the men used a stolen pickup truck and towing equipment to break into the ATM at Dakotaland Federal Credit Union and stole more than $32,000.

The cash machine was destroyed in the break-in, and they traveled across state lines with the stolen money.

The pickup they were in had been stolen from a parking lot at SDSU in Brookings.
