Elkton man arrested for neglecting dogs he owns

ELKTON, S.D.–An Elkton man is facing charges after 11 dogs were found living in his home in what the Brookings County Sheriff’s Department called, “harmful conditions.”

Law enforcement was called to the home Tuesday afternoon.

They found the dogs were being, “neglected and living in poor conditions.”

The owner of the home and the dogs, 45 year-old Marshall Moe, is charged with Neglect, Abandonment or Mistreatment of Animals.

He was released on a personal recognizance bond.

The dogs were turned over to the Brookings County Humane Society.
