Dogs die in Aberdeen house fire

ABERDEEN, S.D.–Two dogs died in an Aberdeen house fire on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Aberdeen Fire Rescue, they were dispatched to the 1500 block of South 1st Street just after 3 p.m.
Upon arrival, smoke and fire were seen coming from the single-family home.
The residence was searched and no occupants were located, but two dogs were found deceased.
The three occupants were not home at the time of the fire. They have been displaced due to water, smoke and heat damage and the home has been deemed uninhabitable.
