COVID numbers continue to drop


SIOUX FALLS, S.D. ( — Last week, South Dakota had the highest covid test positivity rate in the nation at nearly 90% of tests administered.

Now, South Dakota has the second-lowest test positivity rate in the country.

That’s according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.

The state’s percentage rate has dropped to zero.

Also, while the United States saw a 4% increase in COVID-19 cases Wednesday, South Dakota had a 16% decrease.

That’s according to the New York Times Coronavirus Tracker.

The last update from the South Dakota Department of Health on Monday saw Codington County report 11 new cases.
