Codington County voters will decide Republican primary for commission seat

WATERTOWN, S.D.–There will be a Republican primary in the race for a seat on the Codington County Commission.
Former Commissioner Tyler McElhany would like his old job back. Auditor Brenda Hanten says McElhany filed petitions to run for the District 2 commission seat now held by Charlie Waterman.
The winner of the June 4th primary will go on to face Democrat Rita Wishard in the November 5th general election.
Absentee voting for the McElhany-Waterman primary race begins April 19th.
