Codington County under burn ban, effective immediately

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Due to current weather conditions, Codington County has initiated a burn ban for the unincorporated areas of the county, effective immediately.
The ban will be reviewed weekly by county commissioners.
The ban has been placed due to the elevated fire danger as result of low relative humidity, moderate drought conditions and high winds.
Any outdoor burning is strictly prohibited during the ban.
