City, county officials prep for possible flooding in Watertown (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–With a late arriving spring, and more moisture on the way, city officials in Watertown are being pro-active in their preparation for possible flooding.
City and county officials met Monday with a National Weather Service meteorologist to discuss the flood outlook.
City Manager Amanda Mack says with temperatures forecast to be in the 50’s this weekend into next week, the water will begin to run….
Right now, there’s a 90-percent chance of moderate flooding on the Big Sioux River in Watertown between April 8th and the 15th.
