Brookings County tractor fire results in estimated $100,000 damage

WHITE, S.D.–An expensive farm equipment fire in Brookings County Monday night.
The sheriff’s department says fire crews were called to a tractor fire in Sherman Township, six miles east of White.
When they got there, they found a Case IH Magnum tractor with an attached grain cart fully engulfed in flames.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, but not before it caused an estimated $100,000 damage.
It’s not known what caused the fire, which was reported just before 10:30 Monday night.
