WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Arrow girls basketball just had enough to stave off Mitchell 33-29 to move to 2-0 on the year.

Jaida Young was the lone Arrow to get into double figures with 13 points, Maddy Rohde added eight points, six boards, and two steals, Miranda Falconer tallied eight points and four boards and Grace Ortmeier lead the steal collum with three.

Watertown would outshoot Mitchell from the field, 27 percent to 18 percent.

The Arrow boys would fall on the road to the Kernels 74-62 to drop their record to 1-1. Drew Norberg led the attack with 25 points and eight boards, Reese Stark added ten, Mack Johnson with eight, and Jake Olson with seven.

Mitchell would be lights out from the field shooting 79 percent.

The Arrow girls and guys will face Huron this Friday night. Girls are at home on New Country KS93 will the boys will travel to the Huron Arena on 950 KWAT. Both Games have a 7 p.m. tip.
