Active cases of COVID-19 in Codington County reach 50; community spread listed as “substantial”

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The South Dakota Health Department reports 50 active cases of COVID-19 in Codington County today, and lists the community spread of the virus in the county as “substantial.”

The health department says statewide, there are 1,194 active cases of COVID-19. That’s an increase of 12 from Sunday.

But hospitalizations went down to 60, compared with 66 on Sunday.

Deaths are unchanged at 153.
