AA play-in game, expand B postseason on agenda of Basketball Advisory Committee

PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Basketball Advisory Committee of the South Dakota High School Activities Association will meet on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022.
On the agenda includes proposals:
-A Class AA play-in game where the bottom 8 teams play for the right to enter the SoDak 16.
-Have all three girls’ state tournaments in the same city at multiple sites over one weekend.
-Expanded the Class B postseason to a round of 32.
-Change the shot clock from 35 to 25 after an offensive rebound.
-Adding a block-charge restricted arc underneath the hoop.
The advisory committee will meet via zoom beginning at 10:30 a.m.
