36 COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday

PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — 36 people died Wednesday due to COVID-19 complications according to the latest numbers from the South Dakota Department of Health. That brings the death toll in the state to 1,147.

South Dakota added 985 additional COVID-19 cases bringing the known cases in the state to over 88,000. Codington Country has 528 active cases of which, 52 were added Wednesday.

Nine people were hospitalized statewide bringing to total of current hospitalizations to 501.
