Yankton Police announce $15,000 reward in unsolved 1992 murder  (Audio)

YANKTON, S.D.–The Yankton Police Department, the FBI and other area law enforcement agencies held a joint news conference  today (Tuesday) to announce a reward for information into the September 1992 death of Tammy Haas of Yankton.

Her body was found in a ravine near the Crofton golf course in northeast Nebraska about a week after she disappeared.

Yankton Police Commander Todd Brandt says Tuesday would have been Tammy’s birthday…..

 

Brandt says some recent activity indicated there may be someone that has more information…

There will be a reward of $15,000 for reliable information.

 

FBI Minneapolis Special Agent in Charge Michael Paul says they want to give the Haas family some closure……

 

Paul says they believe someone is carrying the burden of knowing what happened….
