Woman killed in crash with semi in Brown County

COLUMBIA, S.D.–The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a woman died Friday in a two vehicle crash in Brown County.

The 57 year-old woman was driving a vehicle that crashed into a semi at an intersection five miles west of Columbia.

The woman ran a stop sign, causing the collision.

She was dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The semi driver had serious injuries, and was airlifted to an Aberdeen hospital.

Meanwhile, a 35 year-old man has died in a pickup crash two miles south of Martin, South Dakota in Bennett County.

It happened Saturday afternoon when the pickup left Highway 73 and rolled.

His name has not been released either.
