With no clear answer, football advisory committee seeks more input

PIERRE, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Football Advisory Committee of the South Dakota High School Activities Association met on Wednesday (May 6, 2020) via teleconference.
The committee was tasked with discussing a five-class football proposal in the state of South Dakota after their previous proposal was shot down by the SDHSAA during their April meeting.
After a lengthy discussion, the six-member committee unanimously agreed for each of its members to be tasked at finding two more representatives to increase its membership. The committee looks to add more input from athletic directors, superintendents, and principals.
The South Dakota High School Activities Association will have the final say on the proposal when its brought forth at their June meeting.
