Winter Weather Advisory posted for northeast South Dakota (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Winter Weather Advisory (purple shaded area) has been posted for the Watertown area and northeast South Dakota this weekend.

It goes into effect at 6:00 a.m. Saturday and runs through midnight tomorrow night.

Today’s weather will be quiet, but freezing rain and drizzle begins to move in Saturday morning…

National Weather Service forecaster Mike Connolly says snow amounts in the Watertown area will be pretty light…

The bigger problem could be freezing rain or drizzle, which will make travel hazardous tomorrow, particularly on any untreated roads and highways.
