Wheelborg named All-GPAC Honoral Mention

MITCHELL, S.D. (DWUAthletics.com) – Dakota Wesleyan University golfer Devan Weelborg (Bryant, S.D.) has received All-GPAC Honorable Mention accolades.

Weelborg initiated the 2020-21 campaign with a tie for fifth place at the Blue River Classic to open the fall season. The Dakota Wesleyan sophomore proceeded with marks of 226 and 151 at the Southern Plains Collegiate Invite and the fall portion of the conference championships, respectively. Weelborg completed the GPAC Fall Qualifier with a mark of 151 through 18 rounds which placed him in a tie for ninth place.

To open the spring season, the Bryant, S.D., native dialed a pair of top-10 placings highlighted by a third-place finish at the Prairie Dunes Collegiate Invite. Weelborg ended the two-day event with a total score of 153 thanks to an opening round mark of 73. The Tiger golfer then tallied a 148 at the Briar Cliff Men’s Spring Invite and concluded the competition in a tie for ninth place.
