WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown Fire Rescue was called out to a restaurant fire over the weekend.

It happened Saturday afternoon at the Interstate 29 McDonald’s, where a grill was reported to be on fire.

Crews got there to find restaurant staff had used an extinguisher on the fire, but it was still not out.

Firefighters were able to snuff out the fire without damaging any other surrounding equipment.

They also removed the damaged grill from the building to eliminate any possibility that the fire might rekindle.
