Western Minnesota teen sustains life threatening injuries in single car crash

ORTONVILLE, Minn.–A western Minnesota teenager has sustained life-threatening injuries in a single vehicle crash in Big Stone County.
A car driven by 18 year-old Bella Pelowski of Chokio, Minnesota was northbound on Big Stone County Road 25 near Artichoke Lake when the vehicle left the roadway. Pelowski was ejected from the car.
She was first transported to Avera Health in Ortonville, and later transferred to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Alcohol use is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash, which was reported at 1:19 a.m. Sunday.
