OLIVIA, Minn. – A hog farmer in western Minnesota is accused of recording women in the shower of his barn without their knowledge.
Twenty-seven-year-old Nicolas Steffel is facing six counts of interference with privacy in Renville County. The criminal complaint says investigators found a video of a naked woman in the shower on Steffel’s phone. Authorities later searched his phone and found 23 more videos and 104 still images.
His hog barn is bio-controlled and everyone is required to shower. Deputies say six women recorded by Steffel were unaware they were being filmed.
Steffel was ordered to appear in court by summons. He has not been arrested.
