WATERTOWN, S.D.–The week will get off to a wintry start with snow today and tomorrow, and then a blast of arctic air that will bring much below normal temperatures to the region for the rest of the week.

First off, there’s a Winter Storm Warning out for Grant, Roberts, Marshall and Brown counties, where the heaviest snow will fall.

For the rest of east river South Dakota, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 tonight until 6 pm Tuesday.

KWAT News talked with Kari Fleegel at the National Weather Service…

There will be just enough wind to blow the snow around…

Then the very cold air moves in…

Watertown’s high temperatures may not get above zero on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
