WEDNESDAY UPDATE: South Dakota’s coronavirus count at 3,732

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – South Dakota health officials report an increase of 69 confirmed cases on COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the state’s tally to 3,732.

Officials reported no new deaths, but 39 people have died in the state so far. Over 80% of the confirmed cases have come from Minnehaha County, which is the state’s most populated area.

About two-thirds of people who have tested positive in the state have recovered, while 1,326 people have active cases.

There are currently 79 people hospitalized, according to the South Dakota Department of Health.
