WBB: Trojan women head to NAIA round of 16

MADISON, S.D. (DSUAthletics.com) — The number 14 Dakota State University Trojan women’s basketball team continues their history-breaking season as they play in the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16 against number nine ranked Sterling, Kansas.

Dakota State won the Omaha Bracket B of the NAIA National Tournament’s Opening Round by defeating University of Providence 77-66  on March 13th.

DSU and Sterling have combined for a 52-game winning streak, with the Trojans winning 22 straight games while the Warriors have won 30 consecutive games.

Tip off set for 3 p.m Thursday. Watertown Radio’s sister station Jammin’ Country 103 and AmazingMadison.com will have coverage from the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

The NAIA National Tournament continues with the Elite Eight round on Saturday, Final Four round on Monday evening and the NAIA national championship game on Tuesday evening.
