WBB: SDSU drops home game to K-State

KANSAS CITY (GoJacks.com) –South Dakota State women’s basketball took a 79-73 loss to Kansas State Saturday afternoon at Frost Arena. The Jackrabbits overcame an early 18-3 deficit to lead by as many as eight points in the third quarter before falling to the Wildcats.

Four Jackrabbits scored in double figures, led by 14 points apiece from Paiton Burckhard and Tori Nelson. The duo also led the Jacks on the glass with seven and six rebounds, respectively. Burckhard went 3-for-3 from the 3-point line.

Myah Selland came off the bench in her third appearance of the season to chip in 13 points and give out three assists. Haley Greer rounded out the Jacks in double digits with 11 points, including three 3-pointers.

SDSU will host Dakota Wesleyan Wednesday night in the final tuneup game before Summit League action starts next week.
