WBB: Jackrabbits fall to No. 14 Iowa State

AMES, Iowa (GoJacks.com) — South Dakota State women’s basketball fell to 1-2 on the season Monday night with a 75-56 loss to No. 14 Iowa State.

The Jackrabbits were paced by a career-high 14 points from Madysen Vlastuin. The Lennox native hit four three-pointers. Tylee Irwin and Paiton Burckhard also put up double figures for SDSU. Irwin tallied 12 points, five of which came from the free-throw line, and Burckhard chipped in 10.

Haleigh Timmer grabbed seven rebounds for SDSU and Paige Meyer gave out four assists. Kallie Theisen forced two steals and blocked two shots.

SDSU returns to Brookings to host Montana State Thursday at 6 p.m.
