Watertown’s Prudy Calvin honored by South Dakota’s Tourism Industry

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The South Dakota Department of Tourism on Thursday honor professionals and business from across the state for their loyalty, commitment and passion for the tourism industry.

The coveted Rooster Rush Cacklin’ Community Award was presented to Aberdeen for their marketing tactics, community involvment and hospitality focused on boosting the pheasant hunting experience in South Dakota.

The Ruth Ziolkowski Oustanding Hospitality and Customer Service Award was given to four industry members representing different regions of the state, including Prudy Calvin of Watertown’s Mellette House.

The Mellette House was home to South Dakota’s first governor, Arthur Mellette.
