WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council this week, on a narrow 4-to-3 vote, approved an ordinance that sets the local rules for medical marijuana sales.
Highlighting those rules are a limit of three locations, or dispensaries, that will be able to sell medical pot, and a fee of $25,000 for a business that wants to apply to sell it.
City Attorney Matt Roby was asked about how the application process will work, and what happens if MORE than three applications for Watertown come in….
The local ordinance takes effect in early October.
