Watertown’s March weather statistics show it was a warmer, drier than average month

WATERTOWN, S.D.—March was warmer and drier than normal in Watertown.
The National Weather Service says the average monthly temperature was 32.2 degrees, which is 2.8 degrees above normal.
The average high temperature for the month was 41.5 degrees. The average monthly low was 22.9.
The warmest day in Watertown in March was on the 30th at 61 degrees.
The coldest day of the month was the 20th, when it got down to eight degrees.
Watertown recorded just eight-tenths of an inch of snow in March, which was 5.4 inches below normal. The seasonal total stands at 36.5 inches.
