WATERTOWN, S.D.–Good news for Watertown Regional Airport.

Airport Manager Todd Syhre says nonstop service on United Express to Chicago O’Hare will resume on July 6th.

That service was temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a sharp drop in people flying.

The Chicago flight will be a 3:00 p.m. departure daily from Watertown, arriving at O’Hare about an hour and a half later.

Watertown saw just 45 passenger boardings the entire month of April as the airline industry suffered greatly because of the pandemic.
