Watertown’s Alex Resel mixes love of photography, storm chasing (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A Watertown man has mixed his love of photography and storm chasing into the perfect job.

Alex Resel has seven years of photography experience, and in 2020, began storm chasing and taking pictures of the powerful scenes that mother nature creates….

He says storm chasing, and taking pictures of powerful weather events has taken him all over the country…

Resel says there’s a delicate balance between getting as close to a storm as possible, but also being able to escape its path if necessary…

Resel says his close calls include being within a quarter mile of a tornado.

Alex Resel will be the featured artist at Thursday night’s, “Arts Night at the Pub.” He’ll give a presentation and show off some of his work at the Community Room in the Watertown Public Library beginning at 6:30.
