Watertown woman killed in Spink County crash

REDFIELD, S.D.–A Watertown woman is dead following a single car crash in Spink County.
Twenty seven year-old Jessica Jones died when the car she was in left Highway 281 north of Redfield, went into the ditch, hit a field approach, went airborne, hit a tree, and then landed.
Jones died at the scene. A second person in the vehicle, a 28 year-old man, sustained serious, non life-threatening injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says identification of who was driving, seat belt use, and alcohol use are all under investigation.
The crash was reported just after 11 o’clock Saturday night.
