WATERTOWN, S.D.—The city of Watertown will continue to work with a developer on what they’ve deemed some sub-standard infrastructure in a northeast Watertown neighborhood.
The developer is Dale Heilman with Midwest Business Condos LLC.
The areas affected are in the neighborhood of Cherry Drive and 27th Street Northeast. It’s part of the Prairie View Addition Subdivision.
Public Works Director Heath VonEye…..
The big ticket item the city has deemed unsatisfactory is the far northeast portion of Cherry Drive where it intersects with 27th Street. That’s an area where sump pumps are working overtime, pumping water out to the curb and gutter, and where standing water is often observed.
VonEye says they’re recommending mill and overlay work on that section of the street, which is crumbling prematurely….
The developer will now have one year to make the necessary improvements.
