Watertown vying for title of “Strongest Town” in international contest

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Exciting news for Watertown! Recently, a team lead by Mayor Sarah Caron formed to complete an application to enter Watertown into an international contest for the title of “Strongest Town.”
The definition of a strong town is a community building enduring financial resilience at the local level and actively embodying the Strong Towns Organization approach to economic growth and development.
Watertown was selected as one of sixteen finalists for the title! On Tuesday, March 10th, Watertown will be matched with one of the other finalists in a competition for votes.
Anyone can cast a vote starting Tuesday, March 10 until noon CDT Thursday, March 12.
