Watertown to play for state championship

RAPID CITY, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Arrows are one game closer to a Class AA state championship.
The purple and gold defeated Sioux Falls Washington in straight sets on Friday to advance to the Class AA State Volleyball Championship Game. Set scores of 27-25, 25-18, 25-22.
Meghan Heggelund would have a monster night with 16 kills. Maggie Heesch would account for nine kills, Sophie Tiez and Mckenzie Buisker with eight kills each.
Defensively, Siri Kranz would account for 15 digs, Jadyn Hoftiezer with 11, Alexx Bayles with eight and Heggelund with seven.
Bayles would also tally 37 assists in the game.
Number one seeded Watertown (27-2) will face number two seeded Sioux Falls O’Gorman (26-4) at 9 p.m. central time Saturday night for the Class AA Championship. Todd Enderson will have coverage on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net.
One of Watertown’s two losses on the year game to the hand of the Knights on November 5th, 3-2.
