Watertown splits with Sioux Falls East

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Post 17 would split their games at Sioux Falls Post 15 East Wednesday afternoon.

Sioux Falls would defeat Watertown 12-4 in game one.  Braxton Lacher would drop down one hit and two RBI’s.  Kale Stevenson would have two hits and one RBI. Kade Russell would pitch four and two-thirds innings, throwing 98 pitches for 11 hits, 10 runs, six earned, and walking four.  Breadon Zaug pitched an inning and a third in relief.

Post 17 would put up two seven spots in the second and third innings en route to a 16-9 win in game two.  Stevenson would drop down two hits and send three past home plate.  Andrew Czech and Zach Hirsch would each have two hits and two RBI’s. Jerod Cyrus would have one hit and three RBI’s. Jack Heesch would pitch three innings, throwing 68 pitches for eight hits, eight runs, and walking three.  Connor Hanson would pitch four innings in relief, throwing 56 pitches and allowing three hits, one runs, walking two, and fanning two.
