Watertown sends in 28 runs in two 10 run rule games over Huron

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Post 17 would score 28 runs in two 10 run-rule victories over Huron Monday night at Watertown Stadium.

Game one would be a 15-4 victory called in the fifth inning. Braxton Lacher would lead the way with two hits and four RBI’s including this home run:

Dawson Schmidt and Kale Stevenson would each send in two runs, Evan Falconer, Mason Evans, Peyton Johnston, Jerod Cyrus, and Jayden Cordell would contribute one run each.

Easton Thury would be the game one winning pitcher going three and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out two.

Game two would be 13-2 win for the purple and gold, called in the fifth inning due to the ten-run rule.  Kale Stevenson would have three hits and six RBI’s including a grand slam:

Mason Evans would contribute one hit and three RBI’s in the game-ending home run:

Easton Thury and Lexan Thorson would also send in one run each.
Kade Russell was credited with the victory on the hill in game two as he allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out seven.
