Watertown School Board receives update on elementary schools tonight

WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)–The Watertown School Board meets at 5:30 today, at which time School District Superintendent Jeff Danielsen will give a report to the board on the district’s elementary schools.
Watertown has five of them, but is looking at possibly reducing that number to four in the interest of efficiency.
The school district recently held two community listening sessions to get feedback from the public on their thoughts and concerns with that idea.
The school board will have the final say on the matter. No decision is expected until May at the earliest.
