Watertown saw warmer and wetter than normal weather in September

WATERTOWN, S.D.—Weather statistics for September show it was a bit warmer and wetter than normal.
The National Weather Service in Aberdeen says the average monthly temperature in Watertown in September was 63.3 degrees. That’s 3.2 degrees warmer than normal.
The warmest day of the month was 89 degrees on the 26th. The coolest temperature of the month was the day before that when it was 35 degrees on the 25th.
Precipitation for September in Watertown was 3.01 inches–which is .56 of an inch above normal.
