Watertown Salvation Army announces changes due to COVID-19

Watertown, SD – Due to the growing concerns surround COVID-19, the Watertown Salvation Army is introducing some changes to better suit the needs of the surrounding communities.

The Community Lunch program which takes places on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will continue to happen; however, it will now be a hot lunch grab and go served in clamshell containers. To also ensure that everyone has adequate nutrition, the Army has now added cold grab and go lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All meals Monday through Friday will be served from 11:30-12:30pm.

The Food Pantry program will stay open and active. Food Boxes can be obtained Mondays from 1-3pm, as well as Wednesdays & Fridays from 9-11:30am. New to this program, we will be offering home delivery to those who feel vulnerable/high risk in the coming weeks. Those who wish to get a food box delivered, please call Shannon at 605-886-4030 to do an over-the-phone appointment and set up delivery.

The Salvation Army is working diligently in sanitizing consistently to make sure our building is a safe place to shop and access services.
