WATERTOWN, S.D. (KWAT)—-It’s the end of an era at Watertown Radio today.

Chuck Langner, who has served as our Ag Director for the past 13 years, is retiring today.

Chuck wanted to get in one more Watertown Winter Farm Show before he hung up his microphone, and with that accomplished last week and over the weekend, he’s calling it a career.

Chuck has made a tremendous impact on the farm community across northeast South Dakota for decades–first as a longtime county extension agent in Clark and Codington counties, and then here with us on the radio.

Chuck’s presence has been felt in so many areas, from his daily market reports, to broadcasts literally, “in the field,” as he delivered brown bag lunches to farmers during spring planting and fall harvest.

Chuck has interviewed thousands of kids during 4-H Achievement Days, and broadcast over the years from the livestock barns at the South Dakota State Fair in Huron and from Dakotafest in Mitchell.

Our best to Chuck, his wife Lynn and their family as Chuck heads off into retirement. Chuck, thanks for all you’ve done, and you will be missed!
