Watertown puts down Aberdeen in a back and forth affair

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — After a back and forth sets one and two, Watertown would put down Aberdeen in four sets Thursday night, 3-1. Set scores 33-31, 24-26, 25-8, 25-11.

At the serving line Anna Johnson would go 18 of 19 with four aces and Jadyn Hoftiezer would go 24 of 24 with two aces. On the attack, Maggie Heesch would ass 21 kills and Hoftizer would add 19. Defensively Johnson would add up 15 digs, Abby Bramer with 14 and Olivia Corey with 13.

The lower levels would have a good night with JV (25-10 25-11), Sophomores (25-18, 17-25, 16-14), and Freshman A (25-22, 10-25, 15-10) picking up wins while Freshman B (18-25, 25-23, 10-15) would fall to the Golden Eagles.

Watertown (19-4) wraps up the regular season Saturday at home versus Mitchell. Todd Enderson will have the first serve at 2:30 p.m. on 950 KWAT and GoWatertown.net.
