WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police say two suspects have been identified and charges are pending in connection with dozens of thefts from unlocked vehicles in Watertown.

Detective Sergeant Trevor Barthel says since the first of April, it’s believed the suspects have entered more than 50 unlocked vehicles throughout the city.

Items taken include cash, a handgun, ammunition, credit cards and other miscellaneous items.

The suspects have not been named and are not in custody, although police say they are an adult male and a juvenile male.

Police say it’s another good reminder to remove items of value from your vehicles and keep them locked.
