Watertown police name two people arrested in meth bust

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police arrested two people following a search warrant that was executed Thursday afternoon in the 200-block of Fifth Avenue Southwest.

Detective Sergeant Trevor Barthel says during the search, police found methamphetamine in the residence, and evidence of meth distribution.

Cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Police arrested 51 year-old Brian Wilson and 42 year-old Brandalynn Wilson, both of Watertown, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Place Where Drugs Are Kept, Sold or Used, Ingesting a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending.

There was a one year-old child and a 17 year-old in the residence at the time of the search warrant.

Child Protection Services responded to the scene, and a safety plan was developed for the children.

Codington County deputies assisted Watertown police.
