Watertown police dispatched to three vehicle accident Tuesday

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police says there were only minor injuries sustained by the drivers of three vehicles involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at the intersection of 9th Avenue Southeast and 26th Street.

A Buick Park Avenue driven by 79 year-old Earl Ruckdaschel of Watertown collided with a Chevy Tahoe driven by 34 year-old Joseph Miller of Watertown. The Tahoe was pushed into a stop sign and a Chevy Trailblazer driven by 60 year-old Colleen Woolven of Watertown.

The Park Avenue was attempting to cross 9th Avenue Southeast onto 26th Street when it collided with the Tahoe that was eastbound.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene. The three drivers were evaluated at the scene by medical personnel with Watertown Fire Rescue for minor injuries.

Ruckdaschel was issued a citation for a Stop Sign Violation.
